Dr. Julie Bartz is a new California resident having just recently moved here from Phoenix Arizona. She has always been a lover of the ocean and is an avid scuba diver, swimmer, and paddle boarder. She particularly loves diving with sharks!
Dr. Bartz completed her undergraduate degree in Journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She then took another detour and became a flight attendant for many years prior to pursuing her career path to veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.
Dr. Bartz particularly enjoys internal medicine, dermatology, anesthsia, and dentistry. She also has a passion for geriatric care and has spent the last 6 years performing compassionate in home euthanasia for beloved furry family members. She also has experience with practice ownership as she owned DC Ranch Animal hospital in Scottsdale Arizona for 9 years.
Dr. Bartz resides in Encinitas with her 2 dogs Rolo, a senior Boxer , and Trudie, a middle aged “pocket bully” . Both were rescues from her time in Arizona.
